THE WATCHLIST: All Clear
The Watchlist remains clear. Market chatter continues about dryness in parts of Australia, Brazil and France. None of those, though, are likely to drive imminent changes to crop forecasts.
WHEAT
Wheat has no active weather risks for now. Northern winter crops by are mostly maturing or being harvested. Any likely weather risk is now modest. Australia‘s winter crop regions have started to accumulate seasonal rainfall. The week ahead is important for Western Australia. Forecasters expect substantial rain through much of the West’s wheatbelt this week. This rain is both timely and on time.
COARSE GRAIN
Coarse grain crops continue to have no major issues for now. Some of Brazil‘s second-crop corn regions are dry, but much if that is not abnormal. Northern summer crops mostly have supportive or better planting soil moisture. France is on the dry side, but we think it is too early to generate crop worries.
OILSEEDS
Oilseeds continue with no specific weather risks for now. Northern summer crop planting remains supported by mostly good soil moisture.
